My father, Anil Kumar, was the reason I entered the jewelry and diamond industry. He started his own business called Nichin Impex Co in Tokyo, Japan in 1980 and has collected the rarest of colored diamonds. I wanted to continue the legacy he's created, and expand his business one step further by creating a jewelry line within the family business, and focus my niche on creating affordable luxury jewelry for everyday wear. The inspiration for my jewelry comes from my Indian and Japanese background, which is why my pieces all have names to them. The Hindi or Japanese name is the inspiration behind the making of the piece, which makes each one a story and one of a kind.

I am certified by GIA to design, and use my knowledge during the whole design process. From choosing the metal of the jewelry, to inspecting each diamond used - everything is overseen by me. Additionally, all my products are produced in Japan, one of a kind, and something you definitely cannot expect to find in your basic retail store.

My mission statement is to promote wearing luxurious jewelry daily, because anyone can wear it. Diamonds aren't just for engagement rings and bridal wear, but it's also a fabulous accent piece to even something as simple as sweatpants on a lazy day. We deserve to prioritize ourselves on a daily basis, and to me wearing diamonds does that. The quote "diamonds are forever" is extremely accurate because they will never lose their glow, go out of style or go extinct. Having something that will quite literally last forever is an investment, so why not invest now in ARIIS?

I've always been deeply inspired by brands like kate spade and Betsey Johnson. Their eclectic, playful and creative take on the inspiration that can come from everyday moments is what's made them what they are. Following the fabulous women that came before me, this is my take. May this brand do for you what theirs did for me.

I have two hopes for you. My one hope is that you are as inspired by this brand as I am by this city, everyday. My other, that I can remind you that dreaming, falling in love and starting over can happen at any moment and at any age. This life is yours for the taking, what will you do with it?

I started NEU with the vision of creating modern heirlooms that feel personal, refined, and timeless. As a GIA-certified designer, I draw inspiration from my grandma’s love of statement jewelry and the way each piece reflected her individuality and made her feel truly herself. My designs are meant to evoke that same feeling in others, bringing a sense of pride and quiet confidence every time they’re worn.

Owners and designers Sunim Choi and Olivia Michaels worked side by side for 10 years before deciding to make the leap and open their own company. During those years together, they taught classes and made custom jewelry for hundreds of clients – many of whom still visit them today! Their love for teaching others about fine handmade jewelry shines bright (like a diamond) when you walk into Goldpoint. From excited couples shopping for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring to those looking for a lasting heirloom piece, the duo wants everyone to feel welcome and in trusted hands. A deep respect for the craft and love of the neighborhood are at the heart of their Greenpoint jewelry shop.
